The police have brought 12 charges against Kody Crosby, who is 35 years old
An Ottawa man is facing 12 charges in connection with the big explosion in an Orleans housing development on February 13.
Police say that 35-year-old Kody Crosby was arrested and charged on Wednesday.
The charges are:
- There are four counts of committing a crime by being careless and hurting someone.
- Four counts of arson, which is an explosion that hurts someone.
- One count of arson—an explosion with no care for people’s lives.
- one count of arson—an explosion that caused damage to property.
- Break and enter on two counts.
Four houses were completely destroyed, and others were badly hurt.
In the hours after the explosion, two men were pulled from the wreckage and taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Two children and two other adults were also taken to local hospitals in stable condition.
A lot more people in the east Ottawa neighborhood had to leave their homes.
